I would recommend you turn ON Media control settings option under App Control. This will make XiiaLive the default handler for all playback events and should override the Android music app from trying to play anything. With that I would recommend not to use the Bluetooth options to auto start and stop playback since your car stereo seems to be sending play and stop commands automatically.
Please make sure the car stereo is sending a stop command and not pause when you switch away from BT. This you can confirm by looking at the player.
Have you modified any of the stream settings?
Can you provide the URL source so we can test it out? Could be an issue with your internet connection.
By the way you don't need to purchase Pro version to get it to load faster :)
In general it is helpful if a more detailed question is posted. In this case I assume you are looking for a station called WHRO. I would recommend you go to http://vtuner.com/setupapp/guide/asp/BrowseStations/Searchform.asp and find it there from your device. Allow XiiaLive to open the link and save it as a favorite.
We have plans to release a new version sometime beginning of Feb.
Do you have any firewall or virus protection apps?
The alarms editor needs to be improved a bit more... Please make sure you have selected a valid station to play when the alarm is triggered. That could be the reason you can't save it...
Thanks for the info! Yes! This shouldn't be happening! Setting this as planned.
Simply pressing STOP will cause the app to be inactive. Then simply hitting back to close the app will terminate all services. A XiiaLive process will be visible on a task manager but that is only kept in memory by Android to optimize when opening the app again. If the app isn't open and the OS needs more memory it simply clears the XiiaLive process. XiiaLive will not be running anything in the background once no stations are being streamed.
