Oh, thanks for the nice app comment! :)
Thanks for the feedback! This helps a little more understand why this issue is happening... The reason might be exactly that... the smart recovery. I would recommend you reproduce the issue of the re-connection and collect the logs. This might help me see why your device is having issues.
Here is how to collect the logs:

Thanks for the info. Got one more question. When you notice this issue do you see a little red cue point close to the playback position? This red cue point means it got disconnected at that point. I'm just trying to figure out if the auto recovery is the issue... You could try turning off the smart recovery under settings->stream and seeing if the issue goes away...
Thanks for the info! Are you using some type of firewall/virus protection app on the device? Like Avast? What error where you seeing before?
Hi Matthew,
Thanks so much for your feedback on our update :) It's has been a lot of work!
Yes! We have big plans to try to improve it and finally make it our default engine! My plans are to include the usage of hardware decoders to decode when available. That should be a huge performance and battery usage booster!
How are you measuring the CPU usage right now? Slower less powerful devices sometimes suffer with streaming since its an intensive usage of resources... Radio, CPU, memory... :P However I believe there is a lot of room for improving this.
Thanks for the feedback in regards to this issue. One big tip; If you ever get into this problem again simply long press the stop button to forcefully kill the streaming process... That will fix the issue really fast! :)
In any case, yes capturing the logs after reproducing the issue would help big time! Here is how to do that:

Also, after you reproduce the issue please try restarting your devices... Who knows it might help fix the issue.
I assume you want to change the bitrate of the search results correct? If that's the case simply go to the list of stations that you want and swipe down on the top menu bar. You will get a few options there :). One of those options "Search bitrate". Hope that helps!
Oh, yeah scratched records :)
Few questions for you:
1. What is your device name/model and what version of Android is it running.
2. Does this issue happen with MPEG stations only? or AAC too? This particular info is important to understand where the issue could be coming from.
3. After how long are you noticing the repeating and skipping? Does it happen after you do a pause or seek?
Thanks!
